i will make myself a figurehead
worthy of an unsinkable titanic
strapped to the mast i will joust swordfish
and sing the guppies into restless sleeps
lick away icebergs like mere popsicles
and not even get an ice cream headache
i’ll swallow up enough seaweed
for a millenium’s worth of miso soup
and sneeze into the sails if the wind abandons
